About Earth Expressions

Experience

I have always been creative as long as I can remember. I attended CCSU in CT and majored in Fine Arts Design.

I spent the next 25 years as a Sales Support/ Customer Service and Marketing products . I then decided to continue my education by adding Recreation Therapy, 2 year certifications, and 2 year certifications at Salve Regina for Creative and Expressive Arts. I began teaching expressive arts at area Holistic Centers, Substance Abuse, Yoga Studios. I’ve taught therapeutic art to those with Alzheimer’s, Senior Citizens, homeschool children, and after school programs. I participated in Hartford Hospital Art for Healing, as well as Smilow Cancer Centers Art for Healing. I’m now participating in Juried Art Shows Nationwide and Local. Special shows include Solo Show at Hospital of Spec Care, New Britain, CT, 4/22/24 Blossoms of Hope, Endicott, MD , Los Laguna Art Gallery, Laguna Beach, CA , New Britain Museum of American Art, Modern Visual Arts Gallery , PA, published in Novum Artis Art Magazine vol 003, Spring Ed, published in Penn State Alumni magazine Aug 25, Gallery 66 New Britain, CT, Gallery 53 Meriden, CT, Joy of Art 2025 Honorable Mention, Bryn Mawr Malvern, PA, Courage Kenny Art of Possibilities, placed 3rd in Regional Ctr for Women in the Arts, Top 10 for art to go on note cards Alina Health , and many more.

Artist Statement

Earth Expressions is a body of work rooted in nature, symbolism, and quiet transformation. Through layered mixed-media painting, I explore the emotional and spiritual language of the natural world—where animals, landscapes, and organic forms become vessels for reflection, resilience, and connection.

My process is intuitive and tactile, combining acrylic paint, collage, texture, and subtle metallic elements. Each piece is built slowly, allowing marks, layers, and materials to carry meaning rather than decoration. I’m drawn to moments of stillness and emergence—where inner experience meets the outer world.

While my imagery often references animals and natural environments, the work is less about representation and more about presence: how a piece feels, what it holds, and what it invites the viewer to notice within themselves. Earth Expressions is an ongoing exploration of grounding, becoming, and the quiet magic found in paying attention.
